Have you ever wondered why the tie is on of the most popular fashion accessories for men? We all agree that tie is a decorative accessory, but did you know that this is a Croatian invention? Necktie is the most famous product from Croatia and this accessory for men is very important for our history. King Louis XIII noticed that  Croatian mercenaries wear a piece of cloth around their neck as part of their uniform. So, he wanted it too. Necktie was so popular that king gave this clothing piece the name “La Cravate”. Here in Croatia we say: Kravata. (Try to say it in Croatian.) This accessory could easily be a perfect gift from Croatia.
